This is definitely the time of year to break out the metallic tape. Pretty ribbon is not the only way to top a present. Every year I seem to find ways to adorn Christmas wrap other than with ribbon. Here are the results of last years gift wrappings.
Yes, I am amazed I didn't think of this sooner. For your Christmas 2014 giggling while gifting I've made some Jingle Balls. These are a product extension of the other catnip balls I make and sell in my Kitty Confetti Etsy shop.
These toys don't have any catnip in them because believe it or not there are some cats who don't like the nip. I wanted to have a nip free option for those felines and adding some jingle is a puuurfect alternative.
These will only be available throughout the holidays so get 'em while they're in season.
I know, I know, it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but the Holidays are on their way! I'll be at a couple upcoming San Francisco craft fairs over the next couple weekends and I thought I'd share a few sneak peaks of projects I've been working on.
The Fairs I'll be attending are:
The San Francisco Center for the Book Holiday Fair
Saturday, November 22nd, 11am – 6pm
You can expect to see lots of hand printed goods at this fair since most sellers are printers of some sort.
Etsy Indie Holiday Emporium @ Pier 35
Saturday/Sunday, November 29th/30th, 11 am – 5pm
This fair will feature a wide variety of Etsy sellers.
Both are FREE to attend and both should have ample PARKING near by. Come say hello and get a jump start on holiday shopping. And if you're making gifts this year I always think going to craft fairs can provide great inspiration.
On Saturday I ventured south to Burlingame and the Balsam Hill showroom. Balsam Hill is an artificial Christmas tree manufacturer. This year they have a pop-up showroom at their warehouse. They have been having many holiday events throughout the season and I was there to share wrapping ideas and tips with shoppers.
I have several friends who are allergic to cut Christmas trees. I've been recommending they check out the showroom. Besides the trees being realistic the showroom offers the experience of picking out your tree in a festive environment. More sense stimulating than ordering from the internet or buying at a big box store.
'Tis the season for gift wrapping. To kick things off I'm sharing the gifts I wrapped last year. I wrapped all the way to Christmas Eve... and some were wrapped after Christmas since gift giving continued through the New Year these never made it to this blog last year.
This year follow along with my wrappings on my Instagram and I'll also of course post a wrap up of my wrappings.
If you're in the Bay Area and want to have some fun with wrapping sign up for my free Gift Wrap Workshop!
