Post pop-up wrap-up

Mothers day weekend I had two events at my favorite SF store; Arch! I sold various letterpress ephemera and cat toys that I've been making lately. I was available to help folks wrap last minute mothers day gifts and share wrapping tips and inspiration.

A week before my event I had my kid in the candy store moment when I went on a mini-shopping spree in Arch to find fun things to wrap with. I wanted to give people inspiration for wrapping with unique materials. I love a pretty wrapping paper and ribbon but I love to find alternatives to traditional wrapping elements or find humorous ways to make a present special. Arch used my wraps as inspiration to gather more fun wrapping elements from the store into a display.

I used my masking tape ribbon technique on a zippered pouch to show that the wrapping can be part of the gift.

This wrap is a paint chip chart + rubber bands as ribbon. Arch had plenty paint charts so we were able to give some rolls away to peeps who stopped by.

I wrapped some mothers day jewelry in a pack of confetti I had for sale.

We had a crafting table for folks to make gift tags and play with one of my favorite materials; washi tape.  Because I love working with patterns I also brought some vintage wall paper scraps.
